I often don’t talk about my beau, nor will you see very many pictures of him. He is extremely private about his private life, and as a dope spouse, I respect his boundaries. Since we’ve been together, continually dating each other has been high on our priority list, but I am a person who gets bored easily. Dinner and drinks are cool, quick, and easy ways for us to stay connected, but I often crave something new and different. I just know that there are so many things to explore in this world, so when it is my turn to plan date night, I try to ensure that I am incorporating something we both like.
We both are foodies…him in that he likes actually to cook and cares about ingredients. Me…well, I just like to eat! Don’t talk to me about cooking anything! We both enjoy music, but he likes to listen, whereas I like to belt out the lyrics loud, proud, and off-key. I like to dance, and he will stand there and tolerate me…because…love!
A few weeks ago, however, I decided to be a little selfish. He is not a big concert person but there was this candlelight R&B night in town, so I booked us VIP tickets and made him sit front row!! At one point, he turned to me and said the pressure of sitting front row was a lot for him!!! I laughed and promptly went back to ruining whatever song was being sung, knowing no one could hear me. Below is a clip of the night. If you have an opportunity, search for new and different things coming to town to spice up your date nights. This one was super romantic and ended up being a great time!
